New House in Lickey

Instructed by the Worcester architects KKE, GCA was briefed to provide the structural support for the project.

The house had traditional brick block cavity walls, an insitu concrete floor to the half basement, with reinforced concrete infill retaining wall, the first floor had a precast concrete  floor, and the roof was supported by exposed cedar timber trusses.

With the clients desire to fully appreciate the views to the South of the Malvern Hills, the structure required discretely hidden steel post to ensure that the southern aspect, was as open as possible.
