GCA Civil, Structural and Highways engineering consultancy has appointed a contaminated land expert to strengthen its team and expand its range of services. Chartered engineer Graham Whitaker has joined GCA from the National House Building Council.
He has joined the company at its Head Office in Derby as an Associate and will specialise in developing a geo–environmental services consultancy concerning brownfield sites development for residential, industrial and commercial uses.
Graham has been involved in a number of steering groups to set national standards for contaminated land remediation and has presented at major UK conferences and seminars on the subject.
There is a vast amount of land across the UK which has been affected by our industrial heritage. As this land becomes available for re-development, we can offer the expertise to assess the risks involved and find solutions to any hazards identified.
