We have employed GCA since 2019 as our principle provider of civil engineering and design engineering.

We have found that GCA work very well in a multi-disciplinary team setting, their input is appreciated by our architectural design providers. They make good team members.

We feel that they always give us the best balance of cost and effectiveness in their engineering solutions and they are prompt at getting (for example) often laborious statutory work underway very quickly.  Technically, nothing they produce for us seems over-done or excessive and they are keen to tell us if they think there is better VFM when discussing solutions.

Their work is very timely but diligent.  Some of the engineering problems are complex and GCA’s ability to help project managers to understand these has been really appreciated.

GCA were involved in the Daimler Powerhouse project, they developed structural and civil engineering details along with carrying out detailed surveys of the existing building to establish its structural stability, any remedial works identified to maintain its integrity. GCA had a very collaborative and proactive approach to the works and were happy to consult and seek preferred methods of construction from ourselves before committing to design to ensure all parties were happy and the scheme was deliverable. All details were produced in good time and effectively including elements that had to be discussed and resolved quickly, they delivered on all counts.
