GCA worked closely with the Artist and Fabricator to carry out the structural design for the public sculptures celebrating Prescot’s industrial history.
These sculptures are based on the town’s industrial heritage and history in the manufacture of insulated wire cabling, and clock and watch making.
The largest sculpture, ‘Stacked’, is approximately 6m tall and is to be placed on St Helens Road roundabout in the North-East of Prescot. From the Artist’s SketchUp model, GCA created a 3D structural model of the sculpture using SCIA Engineer.
