GCA have assisted the Victoria Baths Trust with a range of structural engineering challenges in the past five years, including to the chimney, water tanks and roofs.
All have required careful intervention, and working within very tight budgets to maximise value whilst maintaining safety of this fantastic example of Civic architecture.
The chimney in particular required working from first principles and developing detailed analytical models to established the structural capacity of the existing structure and avoid expensive, unnecessary repairs.
